I spent over a decade climbing the corporate ladder until 2021, when I quit my job to work part-time because I was burnt out, pregnant with my second child and wanted more time to spend with my kids! Leaving my cushy job to follow my intuition was one of the scariest decisions I've made – I had no idea where my career would ultimately land, but I trusted God, and myself, and knew another path would appear. And it ended up being so so worth it! I not only had more time with my babies, but it led me to my true calling and what I was craving for all those years – empowering people with their finances.
I majored in Accounting in college because I ultimately wanted to help people. Growing up, my parents struggled financially and I wanted to make a difference in the lives of those that might be struggling as well. I asked my dad at a young age “what should I do” and he said become an accountant, so that's what I did! The corporate path I followed didn't initially give me what I was looking for, and to be honest, for a while I forgot why I wanted to be an accountant in the first place. But once I left, I was able to re-discover my passion as I worked one-on-one with individuals and small businesses, and that fire and excitement was re-sparked.
That’s why Franklynn Accounting was born: to give my clients peace-of-mind when it comes to their finances and be able to trust that they are in good hands.
I take my profession, your money, and how you feel very seriously – but that doesn't mean accounting or finances always has to be so serious! You’ll see me show up in a way that’s authentic to me, with my bubbly personality, maybe a kid or two running around in the background, and most likely in a t-shirt and jeans – and I invite you to do the same.

Without knowing your numbers, running a business would be nearly impossible. Bookkeeping provides business owners with the tools to make confident financial decisions and manage the cash inflows and outflows of their company.

Absolutely! I understand that accounting can be simple enough, until it's not. It's easy to get in over our heads but that is where we come in. Cleaning up your books is where we excel. As part of our initial discovery call, we will take a look at your current set of books and make a suggestion on next steps. A clean up service is a main component of our onboarding process and a necessary component to provide you with the tools you need to run your business.
I'VE BEEN DOING MY OWN BOOKS, BUT THEY ARE A MESS. CAN YOU STILL HELP?
Yes, yes, and yes. If you are serious about your business then you need to be serious about your numbers. Not only do you need to understand how much money you are making but you need to know how much of it you are keeping.
Not to mention, it is a requirement of the IRS to keep accurate records for tax reporting purposes. Without bookkeeping it is so easy to miss out on valuable deductions to lower that tax bill come the end of the year.
BUT I AM JUST STARTING OUT, DO I REALLY NEED TO DO ALL OF THIS?
I am a licensed CPA with a Masters in Tax and over 13 years of experience in the field. I have a wide range of experiences ranging from traditional tax and accounting to budgeting and forecasting.
But not only do I have the technical knowledge to ensure you receive a quality product, but I pride myself on being approachable, empathetic, and compassionate. I understand that accounting for many is a thorn in their side and I truly enjoy taking my time to ensure my clients understand their numbers.
I KNOW I NEED A BOOKKEEPER, BUT WHAT MAKES YOU THE RIGHT CHOICE?
Once we have decided to work together, our basic monthly package will include a 90 minute onboarding call. During this call I will gather all of the information I need from you, such as access to bank accounts, your current accounting platform or excel sheet, and get all questions answered that either of us may have. Once your books are all set up, we will review the current financial statements with you to confirm presentation. We want to ensure your financials will be a useful tool you actually use!
On a monthly basis we will record all of your income and expenses, reconcile your accounts to ensure accuracy, and send any questions we may have via email. Once we receive those answers, we will finish up the books, generate your reports and send them over to you by the 15th of each month.
